The Berea orphanage has the distinction of being the only one actually owned and operated (out of nearly 200 they serve) by our collaborative partner Myanmar charity organization, the Myanmar Compassion Project. Sited on the farm approximately 70 kilometers northwest of Yangon, this orphanage was personally established by Dr. and Mrs. S.V. Kamcindal, Founders of MCP, at the location of their year-round training center for orphanage leaders and staff in Myanmar. The children all attend school and do light chores on the farm which surrounds the leafy oasis of their orphanage.
"Building the water system has made it much more convenient for growing food and animals. Thank you very much!"
Water from their Rotary system also is piped to the separate cluster of small buildings comprising the MCP conference facility. Therefore, a byproduct of this water installation is to indirectly benefit many other orphanages in the MCP network.
