Why water?

In many Myanmar orphanages in this troubled country, kids and teenagers must carry water in large buckets, for often hundreds of feet or more just to meet minimum needs of their orphanage for water. As this water is untreated and usually from an uncontrollable natural source, bacteriological content is often a danger to the children.

Available supply by this means of manual transport is also usually inadequate to need. Finally, there is an obvious risk for harm to a child’s body in repeat carrying of heavy water buckets.
